Roof Snow Load
Roof snow load is the ground snow load adjusted by a coefficient for roof slope, exposure and thermal effects.
The roof snow load is S = C_s·S_k. where C_s is the shape/exposure coefficient and S_k the ground snow load.
Scale the ground load by the shape coefficient.
Results
Steeper roofs shed snow (lower C_s); flat or sheltered roofs may accumulate more. This pressure is applied over the roof plan area.
