Specific fuel consumption rates an engine’s thirst: the fuel burned per unit of useful energy or work.
It is SFC = m_fuel/E. where m_fuel is the fuel mass and E the energy produced.

Divide fuel mass by energy output.
SFC := m_fuel/E=6.94e-08 s^2/m^2
Results
A lower SFC means a more efficient engine. It is the figure of merit for comparing engines and projecting fuel cost and range.
