Roof Pitch Angle
The pitch (slope) angle from a rise over a run is found with the inverse tangent — used for roofs, ramps and road grades.
The angle is θ = arctan(rise/run). where rise is the vertical change and run the horizontal distance.
Take the inverse tangent of rise over run.
Results
The result is in radians (about 0.39 rad, 22°). The same calculation converts a road’s percentage grade into an angle.
