Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Calculeaf engineering calculation worksheet application and website (the "Service"), operated by Calculeaf ("Calculeaf", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Calculeaf lets you create unit-aware engineering calculation worksheets in your browser. We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we may set reasonable limits on use to keep the Service running well for everyone.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account, which you can create directly or via Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Please give accurate information and let us know promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Free service

The Service is currently provided free of charge. We do not charge fees and there are no paid plans at this time. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will provide separate terms and clear pricing before you incur any charge.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the worksheets and other content you create ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store, process, display, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — for example, to save, evaluate, and (if you choose) share your worksheets. You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to use it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or probe the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service except as permitted by law.
• Upload malware or content that infringes others' rights or violates any law.

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Calculeaf and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service except the limited right to use it as permitted here.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Google (sign-in and analytics) and our hosting providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend, restrict, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, including for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Calculeaf will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including reliance on any calculation result. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to GBP 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Calculeaf from any claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably need to protect the Service or other users. On termination, the licences you grant continue only to the extent needed to wind down or comply with law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
