Create a worksheet

Open the AI panel from the right edge. On the Create tab, under Describe your calculation, type a prompt (for example a beam deflection with a plot). Choose Generate Calculation, or press Ctrl+Enter in the prompt (hint: Ctrl+Enter to generate). Dictate is speech-to-text (tooltip: Dictate (speech to text)).

Generate a new sheet

  1. Open AI Assistant.
  2. Stay on the Create tab.
  3. Leave Edit existing sheet off. The hint next to the checkbox shows whether the current sheet is empty.
  4. Describe the calculation. Be specific about units, codes, and what to plot.
  5. Optionally Attach a PDF or image — see Attachments and tokens.
  6. Choose Generate Calculation.

The placeholder suggests: Calculate the deflection of a simply supported steel beam under a uniform distributed load, showing all working and a deflection curve plot…

With Edit existing sheet off, the current page is replaced. Use Save As first if you need to keep the old sheet.
