Open the Math Format tab. Nothing here changes what Calculeaf computed. Every control decides how an existing number is written down: how many places it carries, whether it goes scientific, which unit sits on the chip, what colour it turns when a check fails. The stored quantity that later regions read stays exactly as it was evaluated.

Selection or whole worksheet?

The tab mixes two scopes. Most of it formats the math regions you currently have selected, so select them first. Calc №s and Find/Replace ignore the selection entirely and act on the worksheet.

A new math region therefore starts at Format Auto, 2 decimal places, Trailing 0s off, Zero tol. 15, and Exp thresh. 6. Change a Results or Thresholds control with nothing selected and you move the sheet default instead, which every region you have not formatted individually then follows. Copy a region and its formatting travels with it.

The pages

  1. Result formats — should this read 24500, 2.45 × 10⁴, or 3/8? Auto, Decimal, Scientific, Engineering, and Fraction, and when each earns its place.
  2. Decimal places — how much precision to show, and what Zero tol. and Exp thresh. do to a printed number.
  3. Preferred unit — you want this one line in kip while the rest of the sheet stays SI. Pin a unit on the chip, and clear it again with Reset units.
  4. Conditional formatting — make a utilisation above 1.0 colour itself red without you having to check it.
  5. Calc numbering — how to get [2.3] printed after an answer so a reviewer can cite it.
  6. Find and replace variables — you called it V and it should have been V_applied, in eleven places.
