Review workflow
Open the Review ribbon tab to put a name against a sheet. The tab appears once you are on a team, on your own sheets and on sheets you have been asked to check. It holds three groups — Reviewer for the handover, Markup for comments, Decision for the verdict — and shows only the buttons your role allows now.
Send a sheet out
- Open the sheet and its Review tab.
- Choose Assign reviewer, which assigns a teammate to review this sheet, and pick a name. The list offers your teammates only, never yourself.
- A status badge appears beside the button and the sheet moves to In review. The button now reads Change reviewer.
You can change the reviewer later. Choose Change reviewer and pick a different teammate. You do not need to Approve or Request changes first.
States, and who can act in each

| In review | The assigned reviewer gets Add Comments, Approve and Rq. Changes. Nobody else can decide, even the owner. |
| Changes requested | The owner edits, then chooses Resubmit to go back to In review. Resubmit works from this state alone. |
| Approved | The round is closed. The owner can assign again for the next one. |
Approve asks you to confirm before it notifies the author. Rq. Changes sends the sheet back with a note. Drop your comment pins first and let the note say what they add up to.
Outstanding work is easy to lose track of, so the top of the left sidebar carries a banner counting sheets waiting for your review and another counting your own sheets that need changes. Clicking either opens the Team tab already filtered to Reviewing or Changes.
The AI overview and check is a different thing. It reads the sheet and reports what it thinks is wrong, but it changes no state and signs nothing off. Run it before you hand over, so your reviewer spends their time on judgement rather than on typos.
