A snippet is a named group of regions you reuse. Save a title block, a load case, or a set of checks once, then drag it onto another sheet instead of rebuilding it.

Save a snippet

  1. Select one or more regions on the canvas (click, or Ctrl+click to add to the selection).
  2. Open the Snippets tab in the left sidebar.
  3. Choose New Snippet.
  4. Name it and choose Save Snippet. You must be signed in — guests are asked to create an account first.

If nothing is selected, Calculeaf tells you to select regions first. An empty list shows No snippets yet — select regions and save.

Drag onto the sheet

  1. Open the Snippets tab.
  2. Drag a snippet from the list onto the page.
  3. A dashed box follows the pointer and shows where the block will land.
  4. Release to drop. The regions appear at that point, still using the names they had when you saved them.

Move the new regions if they overlap existing work. Rename variables after pasting if they would clash with names already on the sheet.

Organise

Search the list with Search snippets…. Signed-in users can add New Folder and drag snippets into folders. Rename a snippet by editing its name in the list. Delete it from the snippet’s menu if you no longer need it.

Whole-sheet reuse is a template (Sheets tab), not a snippet. Use a template when the next project should start from an entire page; use a snippet when you only need a block. To save a snippet you must be signed in. Selecting regions uses the same clipboard selection as copy and paste.
