Getting Started
This section takes you from a blank page to a saved calculation. It should take about ten minutes.
If you only read one page, read Your first worksheet. That is the one with the typing in it.
Things to know before you start
- A worksheet is a page you put things on. It is not a grid of cells.
- Click empty paper once and type to write math. Double-click to write text.
- Type a colon after a name and Calculeaf inserts
:=for you. An=at the end of the line shows the answer. - Units are part of the number. Type
12 kN/mand Calculeaf keeps track of them. - A sheet works from the top down. Define a name above the line that uses it.
The five pages
- What is Calculeaf — what the tool is, and where you can run it.
- Create an account — what you get by signing in, and what you lose if you don't.
- Your first worksheet — type a calculation and get an answer.
- Tour of the workspace — the names of the things on screen.
- Open an example calculation — start from a finished sheet instead of a blank one.
