Sections
Select a text region, then on the Text tab choose Section (tooltip: mark the selected text region as a numbered section header). The button stays pressed while the region is a section.
Mark a header
- Apply a heading style if you want the look (Heading 1–3).
- Keep the text region selected.
- On the Text tab, choose Section.
- Set Level to 1, 2, or 3 (tooltip: Section level (controls sub-numbering)). The control is disabled until the region is a section.
- Leave Number blank for automatic numbering (placeholder: auto), or type an override (tooltip: Override the section number (leave blank for automatic)).
Click Section again to unmark. The text stays; the number and the sidebar entry go away.
