Ribbon tabs
Click a tab under the dark bar. The buttons underneath change. The tab you were last on is remembered per worksheet, so a sheet you use for plotting reopens on Plots.
Quick Access, always on screen
The dark bar above the tabs does not change with the active tab. From the
left: the Calculeaf mark, then New, Save As, Export as .leaf,
Import, and Share. After a divider come Undo and Redo, then the worksheet
name. Click the name and type to rename the sheet. Sign In, or your initials
once you are signed in, sits at the right-hand end.
Evaluate is not on Quick Access. It is on the Home tab, in the Calculate group.
New, Save As, Export, and Import repeat in the File group on the Home tab. Undo and Redo repeat in its Edit group. Hover any button and it names the action.

Inside the Home tab
- File — New, Save As, Export, and an Import menu offering Calculeaf
.leaf, Mathcad Prime.mcdx, and Mathcad 15.xmcd. - Calculate — Evaluate re-runs every region in visual order, top to bottom then left to right. Ctrl+Enter (Command-Enter on a Mac) does the same without the mouse.
- Edit — Cut, Copy, and Paste on the top row, Undo and Redo below, all acting on the selected regions.
- System — the Units dropdown sets SI (m, kg, s), USCS (ft, lb), or CGS (cm, g) for this worksheet.
- User — Settings opens a modal for preferences that follow you, not the sheet: Autocomplete, and whether
:=assignment displays as=. - Community — Community opens the message board; Report Bug and Suggest Feature start a post there.
- Help — Getting Started replays the first-visit tour, Tutorials opens the video series, Examples opens the example calculations, and User Guide opens this guide.
